Cadence Theatre's STAGE WRITE program has been working in partnership with RPS since its inception in 2015. Throughout the years, we have provided free instruction and professional development  and increased the RPS high schools we serve. In 2019, we aligned our curriculum with the VDOE approved Creative Writing curriculum and work with one creative writing class in each school once/week. We are currently working virtually in three schools for this first semester: Armstrong, John Marshall, and Huguenot and will be adding the following schools in 2021: Richmond Community, George Wythe, and Franklin Military.
STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
Our 2018-2023 Strategic Plan, Dreams4RPS, is our guiding map and north star to achieve the goals laid out by our RPS community in over 170 community meetings in 2018. As a result, we are intentional about prioritizing partnerships that directly contribute to our Top 10 Goals over the next 5 years and our 5 Priority Areas. The next two sections provide an overview of the Strategic Plan and the specific Action Items which community partners can work with us to achieve. We ask that you please review the Strategic Plan before completing this form and indicate which Goals, Priority Areas, and Action Items are most relevant to your work.

STAGE WRITE
The STAGE WRITE student leadership and workforce readiness program provides Richmond and regional high school students with an opportunity to gain experience in critical thinking, problem solving, communication skills, and teamwork through writing and performing narratives that are directly relevant to the issues they face in their own lives. Now in its sixth year, the program is based on pedagogy that demonstrates that performing arts training builds workforce readiness skills and lifelong personal strengths. STAGE WRITE is led by professional arts educators and involves a curriculum specially created for the program.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.

Read more about converting a column into a table.
